Bunjil Biik – Our New Foyer Artwork

We are delighted to share that our new foyer artwork, Bunjil Biik – ‘Bunjil’s Country’, has arrived this afternoon!

Developed in collaboration with local artist Simone Thompson, the artwork is a beautiful reflection of the themes and ideas shared through feedback from our community.

Next week, we will share the accompanying Dreaming story with families, providing an opportunity to learn more about the inspiration behind Bunjil Biik and the important connections represented in the artwork.

2026 Parent / Carer Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent/Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.  All families are invited to participate in the survey.

The survey can be conducted online via a Compass Newsfeed to be sent out on Monday 17 August.  It only takes 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed at any convenient time on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

Proposed Stop Work Action- Wednesday 19 August

The Australian Education Union (AEU) has scheduled a full-day stop-work action for Wednesday 19 August 2026.

Depending on the number of teaching staff participating, this may affect specific year levels or the operation of the entire school. As a result, some students may continue with their usual program, some classes may operate in a modified format, or particular year levels may not be required to attend school. If all teaching staff participate in the stop-work action, the school may need to close for the day.

Arrangements will be confirmed with families by the end of the school day on Monday.

For families of students who will be attending Grade 4 camp, this action will have no impact on the camp, our ability to proceed with the planned program or provide adequate supervision and duty of care arrangements.
