From the Principal

Exciting plans for 2027
Last week, on our pupil‑free day, our staff commenced reviewing our proposed Strategic Plan for 2027. St Anne’s has engaged educational consultant Vaughan Cleary (formerly Deputy Principal at Assumption College) to work with us as we reflect on our current structures and practices to enhance student engagement and student outcomes. The plan incorporates a range of strategies, with a particular emphasis on fostering student agency. Further details will be shared with parents/carer at the beginning of next term.
Enrolments Discovery Sessions & Upcoming Tours
We have had some fantastic Discovery Sessions during our Enrolments Period in the last week. We held a session with students interested in joining us for Year 7 next year as well as a fun-filled session with Pre Primary students looking to join us in Foundation in 2027 and beyond. We also welcomed two local education facilities for sessions this with Kindergarten students from Wyndham Early Learning attending the College on Wednesday and Year 5 & 6 students from St Mary's Mooroopna joining us today.
We are looking forward to hosting our Enrolment Tours on March 30 to April 1 with three sessions taking place each day (9.15am; 12.15pm; 4.30pm). Please spread the word about this great opportunity to discover St Anne's College and meet our leaders. Bookings can be made via our website.
Kim O'Keeffe Visit
Thank you to the Member for Shepparton Kim O'Keeffe for attending the College recently to present our College and House Captains with leadership certificates. We appreciate Kim sharing her time with our students and encouraging them in their leadership roles. The captains have already done an exemplary job in their leadership roles so far this year. We are very proud of their representation of our college.
Harmony Day
We will be celebrating Harmony Day on Monday next week (23 March). We encourage students to either wear a touch of orange, their cultural wear or colours that make up their flag. We look forward to this significant event in the annual calendar which celebrates our cultural diversity not only at St Anne's College but throughout the country.
NAPLAN
Congratulations to the Year 3, 5, 7 and 9 students who participated in NAPLAN over the past fortnight.
Learning Conversations
Please be reminded Learning Conversations are taking place next week on Tuesday 24 March from 3.30-4.30pm and on Wednesday 25 March 3.30-7pm. Setting goals for improvement is an important aspect of learning and I encourage all parents and carers to be familiar with your child's goals.
