COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Huge congratulations to Arlo C (6LB), who achieved a personal best in High Jump, clearing the elusive 150cm! This incredible effort came on Victoria’s biggest stage - the Little Athletics State Track & Field Championships, where he was also rewarded with a silver medal.
Arlo has now also secured a place at the Australian Little Athletics Championships, to be held in Brisbane over the upcoming holidays.
Well done, Arlo, and best of luck for Nationals! 💪🏼
Huge congratulations to Marley F (3/4C), who was part of Lower Eltham’s U11 cricket team that claimed a thrilling grand final victory! The team defeated previously undefeated Diamond Creek by 10 runs in a fantastic match (5–96 off 20 overs to 6–86 off 20).
Coached by Marley’s dad, Nick, the team has secured the club’s first junior premiership in 9 seasons - a wonderful achievement for all involved. By all reports, the smiles haven’t left Marley or Nick’s faces!
Well done, Marley, and the entire team! 💪🏼
If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.
Thank you,
Jordan Daley
