OUR FAITH

PRAYER

Gracious God,

We thank you for mothers- our own mothers and mothers everywhere. We pray for those entrusted with the responsibility of motherhood. Grant each mother your wisdom, guidance and strength and give to each of them patience, devotion and dedication. We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen

We pray ...

for all our mothers and maternal figures whom we love dearly, and for all candidates preparing to make their First Reconciliation and First Eucharist this term.

ANZAC DAY LITURGY

Last Friday, our school community gathered for a deeply moving ANZAC Liturgy to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country. It was a beautiful moment of reflection, marked by silence, prayer, and respect.

A special thank you to our Year 6 School Captains, who led the service with such maturity and grace. Their leadership ensured the liturgy was both reverent and heartfelt, helping us all to connect with the spirit of the ANZACs. We are incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves during this important time of remembrance.

ANZAC DAY MASS & WREATH LAYING CEREMONY

We are incredibly proud of our School Captains, Max Collett and Stella Clery, for the way they represented our school community on ANZAC Day. Both Max and Stella attended the ANZAC Day Mass at St Nicholas Church.

Following the March, they joined the community at the Tamworth Town Hall for the official wreath-laying ceremony. It was wonderful to see our student leaders so engaged with the local community, paying their respects with dignity and honouring the legacy of our ANZACs.

FAMILY MASSES

We warmly invite our families to join us for our next Family Mass on Sunday, 3rd May at 9:30 am at St Nicholas Church.

This Mass is a wonderful opportunity for our school and parish communities to come together in prayer and fellowship. We particularly encourage our Year 3 First Eucharist candidates and their families to attend, along with our Year 2 students, as they continue their faith journey.

A huge thank you to the many students who have volunteered to read; it is heartening to see so many young people eager to serve. Please stay after Mass for a community morning tea!

MINI VINNIES

In the true spirit of service, our Mini Vinnies group spent time spreading Easter joy within our community. It was a heartwarming experience to see the Bupa residents' bright smiles as they celebrated the season.

Looking forward, our team met last week to brainstorm our Term 2 Focuses. The students showed incredible initiative, proposing ideas to support the Vinnies Winter Appeal, the Earn and Return program, and ways to further strengthen our connection with our friends at Bupa. We are so proud to have such a large, dedicated group of students eager to make a difference in the wider community.

FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST EUCHARIST

Any parents who did not attend the Parent Information sessions will need to go to the St Nicholas Parish Office in Marius Street during office hours to collect an Information Pack.
