From our Principal

Christine Pillot

As we come to the end of Term 1, we reflect on what has been a highly successful and productive start to the year. Across all classrooms, students have engaged positively in their learning. It has been particularly pleasing to see how well our new students have settled into school life. They have quickly become part of our community, building relationships and embracing the routines and expectations of their new environment.

This week also brought some extra joy, with Judith and I taking on the role of Easter bunnies and visiting classrooms to deliver Easter eggs to students. It was wonderful to share the eggs and see students’ faces light up across the school.

Harmony Week Celebrations

Last week, our school proudly celebrated Harmony Week, recognising and valuing the diversity within our community and reinforcing the message that “Everyone Belongs.”

Students enthusiastically participated in a whole-school activity, decorating their own handprints which were then brought together to create a vibrant Harmony Tree. This beautiful display symbolises the unique backgrounds, cultures, and identities that make up our school, while highlighting the importance of inclusion and belonging.

It was wonderful to see students engaging so positively in this activity and taking pride in contributing to a shared representation of our inclusive school community.

Thank you to our Community Engagement team for planning and coorindating this successful activity for all students.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) / School Council

Last week, we held our AGM and presented the 2025 Annual Report to our school community. The report has now been submitted to the Department of Education and, once endorsed, will be published for the community to access.

Following the AGM, our new School Council met and office bearers were nominated. We are pleased to introduce our 2026 School Councillors, as listed below.

Our councillors play an important role in supporting the school and are available to connect with parents and carers about a wide range of school matters. Whether you have comments, questions, wonderings, or concerns, we warmly encourage you to reach out. Please feel free to speak with one of our friendly School Council members.

Policy Updates

School council have reviewed and endorsed the Homework, Mobile Phone Student Use and Electronic Funds Management Policies.

All current school policies can be found on our website and Compass under the Community tab - School Documentation.

School Uniform - Price Increase

At our School Council meeting, the upcoming uniform price adjustments from State School Relief were discussed.  We carefully considered the changes and agreed that the increase is reasonable in the current context.

It was also noted that, despite the adjustment, pricing remains competitive when compared with other uniform suppliers. Importantly, State School Relief continues to provide a high standard of quality, along with a broad and practical product range that meets the needs of our students.

Please see attached the updated uniform price list.

Happy and Safe Easter

We thank all students, staff, and families for their continued support throughout term 1.  We wish all families a happy and safe Easter and hope the break provides an opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time together.
