Hi all

The 2026 St Louis Cross Country was held in sunny conditions last Tuesday.  All of our kids ran distances from 400m  (preps) to 3 km (11 and 12 Year Olds) around the wetlands behind the school.  How lucky are we to have such a glorious space to use!

The first 9 places in our senior races all qualify for the Chelsea District Cross Country event on Friday, 15th May at Cornish College.  Well done to all of our individual winners, and well done to anyone who had a crack and completed the course.

The highlight of the day was the last events when the entire school was on the oval with 100 or more parents cheering the preps around the back oval.  St Louis does “boisterous” well!  Fatima was then named the winning team for the day, and they were all very happy because the Fatima Spirit Captains, Mia and Rhys, hadn’t won anything since they were in prep!

Thanks to everyone who came down to watch and gave the place such an atmosphere!

I would especially like to thank the parent volunteers who stood out on the course to ensure the event could go ahead.   So to Pauline, Dee, Dee, Judy, Kristy, Nicole, Ellan, Amy, Nelani, Mel, Chris, Clint, Belinda, Renee, Asha, Nicole, the mum that ensured the runners went the correct way once they entered the school and all of the names I apologise for not listing but played their part in making it such a BIG, FUN DAY - we salute you all!

Our senior and middle school students will be starting a Rugby Tag program.  We will have a Melbourne Storm junior development officer to assist.  As part of their support, they will also be running a “League Stars” program after school.  It is a Rugby League equivalent to Auskick for the AFL.  It will be free to attend.  More details will be coming next week.
