Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to boarding on Monday for the last term of 2025. I am sure everyone had a wonderful break with the spectacular weather we had in Queensland.
Staff will be on duty from 6:30am on Monday for drop offs and airport pick-ups. We appreciate if all boarders can be in-house by 5:00pm please. If you require an airport pick-up for your child and have not yet sent through the itinerary, please send through urgently so we can organise their safe collection. Please note, this applies to boarder travel day on Monday.
This term, we welcome six new students and their families to boarding. A warm welcome to Conrad in Year 6, Osborne in Year 7, Adrian and Oscar in Year 9, and Abbey and Grace in Year 10. We also welcome English Language students Violeta and Rosie in Year 8 who have been residing in boarding and will be commencing this term at Clayfield College.
As the new term commences, I bring your attention, once again, to the Uniform Policy. Please ensure your child is returning with one natural hair colour; piercings only in ears with one stud or sleeper in each ear lobe; no acrylic or painted nails; and no false eyelashes or spray tanning.
Term 4 is always exciting. Our Year 12 boarders will enter their final exams and then graduate, and our Year 11 students will find out if they are successful in the leadership position they applied for. We will also vote for Boarding Year Leaders to support our 2026 Boarding Captains and will sit in our year groups for dinner.
We will be busy with Badminton and Junior AFL, and have many outings, socials, Secondary Music Dinner, Sports Celebration Dinner, House Changeover Dinner, Speech Night and end with the Year 12 Boarder Farewell Dinner.
The much-anticipated inaugural Beyond Boardersevent will take place on Saturday 18 October from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Please come along and celebrate a wonderful year of boarding.
Term 4 will end on Wednesday 3 December. Please note, this is also boarder travel day. We will close for the year on this day at 9:30pm.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Kathryn Searle
Head of Boarding
