A massive congratulations to Charlotte Ruan of Year 9 who has just completed and published the second novel, "Collection of Onyx" from her "Eclipse" series. Charlotte published her first novel " Hope of Nightmares" whilst still in Year 7. 

We wish her every success with this latest release. Charlotte donated a copy to the library so it will be available to read soon.

A great time was had by everyone who attended Ms Dunkley's Harry Potter Halloween quiz last week.  

Some Reading Options 

If you wish to extend your reading and literacy you can borrow up to eight items at a time from the school library. Library staff are always on hand to assist you with reading selections. 

You can access the VSC ebook and audio library from the favourites menu in Compass > Star icon> Library ebook and audio book link. 

You can access The Age newspaper from the Compass favourites menu Compass> Star icon > Library – The Age.

Check the “ Young adult” section. You do not have to join or log in to use the site. You can scroll down the page to “Search and Browse” or “Goodreads Choice Awards” sections. This will give you hundreds of options to choose from. 

Book giveaways 

The library still has many of its cancelled novels and non fiction books to give away to keen readers. They are situated on our front desk near the blue book boxes. 

Please help yourself to as many as you would like, but make sure you take them home.
