School Captains' Report

Welcome back to Term 4!
We have had such an amazing year so far and are excited to give some special announcements in this newsletter. The past three weeks at CGPS have been very exciting and we hope you’re all having a positive start to the new term.
Kicking it off strong, we celebrated Family Day on the 14th of October, and the JSC market stall raised $650! This money will go towards non-fiction books for our libraries. If students have any suggestions for specific books and genres, you can tell them to your JSC representative. Thank you to everyone who donated their second-hand items, as well as to everyone who helped out on the day.
This week, the Grade 1s have a sleepover in school, where they will be playing games, eating pizza and watching a movie. It sounds so fun, and we hope you enjoy it! Later on in the term, we have two very special events - the Grade 5 camp at Sovereign Hill, where they will stay for two nights, participating in many exciting activities such as gold panning, going down into old mines and learning about how the old sweets were made. There will also be swimming lessons later in the term, and every class will have a one hour lesson each day for a week. We hope you all are excited!
Thank you for reading this newsletter.
Your school captains,
Amelia, Tess and Audrey
