On September 8th, we celebrated the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This special day is a beautiful reminder of hope, grace, and unconditional love, as the mother of Jesus, Mary’s life serves as the ultimate blueprint for how we should treat one another and walk in faith.
Her life was defined by a quiet yet powerful devotion to serving others. From the moment she gave her faithful "yes" to God, Mary embraced a path of profound humility and selflessness. She did not seek spotlight or praise; instead, she poured her energy into being kind, loving, and helpful to those around her.
Following Mary’s example means bringing her gentle spirit into our modern world. In a society that often rewards selfishness, choosing to be kind and loving is a radical act of faith. We honor Mary’s birthday best not just through prayers, but by becoming her hands and feet—offering a listening ear to someone who is lonely, helping a neighbor without expecting anything in return, and leading with love and kindness in all of our interactions. By mimicking her servant’s heart, we bring her son's light into the world.
On a sad note, we pass on our sincere condolences to our principal Carmel Stutterd and her sister-in-law Angela, who worked at St Louis' in 2024, on the sudden passing of Carmel's brother, Angela's husband, Gerald Stutterd. May you keep them and their families in their prayers and may Gerald rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord.
Please keep our Year 3 students in your prayers as they continue their preparation towards receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Year 3 students will be celebrating their Reconciliation Journey Masses on Tuesday and Thursday at 9.15am. All are welcome to come and support them on this journey.
