Students enjoying their icy-poles!

At Mackellar Primary School, we know that every day at school matters! Regular attendance gives students the best opportunity to learn, build friendships, develop positive routines and stay connected to their school community.

At the end of each term, we are proud to recognise students who have achieved 100% attendance with a special icy-pole treat. This is a small way of celebrating their wonderful commitment to coming to school every day and being ready to learn.

Congratulations to all of our students who achieved 100% attendance this term – what a fantastic achievement! We also thank our families for supporting regular and punctual attendance and helping our students make the most of every school day.

Remember:

  • Students need to attend school every day to make the most of educational opportunities.
  • There is a direct link between school attendance and achievement later in life.
  • Poor patterns of attendance in the early years lead to poor patterns of attendance throughout the school years.
  • Poor attendance makes it difficult for children to form positive relationships with their peers.
