Physical Education

Hi families,
District Swimming:
Congratulations to the 9 students who competed on Friday 20th at the District Swimming carnival at Lilydale Outdoor Pool. The girls all swam exceptionally, all trying their hardest and represented Rolling Hills swimmingly. A special mention to Matilda K and Annalise R who came first and second in their events and competed at Division swimming on Monday. Matilda came 4th in Freestyle and 2nd in Butterfly and is off to Regional Swimming for Butterfly!
Well done everyone!
House Athletics Carnival
On Thursday the 4th of March we were fortunate enough that the rain held off and we were able to have a fantastic day for our annual RHPS House Athletics Carnival! The focus of the day was all about having fun, giving our best efforts, and applying everything we’ve learned in PE throughout Term 1.
A MASSIVE thank you to the parents and family members who stepped in to help! Your support and generosity with your time are truly appreciated. We also want to thank the staff for their help with the preparation and smooth running of the event. A special mention goes to Lauren, who set up the pop-up canteen at the track. The canteen was definitely the hotspot at lunchtime on Wednesday!
Finally, a huge congratulations to our amazing students! The spirit, effort, and encouragement shown throughout the day were exceptional! The final scores will be announced at a later date. I will place photos in the next issue of the newsletter.
AusKick at the MCG
On Sunday night at the St Kilda vs Collingwood AFL match, three of our students represented RHPS astonishingly and had a fantastic time!
Key dates for Term 1:
- Grades 5-6 Bike Education - Weeks 2-9
- Grades 5-6 District Summer Sports - Monday 30th March
I wish you all a lovely weekend,
Miss Twentyman
