Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,
International Women's Day 2026
I apologise that this week's newsletter is running behind schedule. The delay has enabled us to recognise International Women's Day that occured on Sunday 8th March. I would like to share our collective appreciation as a school for all of our girls. I hope they all grow into strong, amazing women like their mothers, grandmothers, and aunts. I also want to take a moment and thank the women who make our school a special place to work with care and dedication to all of our children.
NAPLAN
It's that time of year again, when we begin NAPLAN with our Year 3 and 5 students. Four short assessments that help us know where we are collectively as a school, as well as individually for students. What the results do not show is all the other great values, skills, and characteristics our children share with us every day. The ability to share, care, laugh, sing, play sports, play instruments, create, draw, and a million other special talents.
The next four days should be prepared for like any other, sleep, yummy snacks, lunches, and fun with freinds at play time. In between all of that, we will pause our normal classes and cover Writing, Reading, Language Conventions, and Numeracy, in that order, for approximately 60 minutes each time.
Grade 3
Writing - Wednesday (paper-based)
Reading - Friday (online)
Language Conventions - Friday (online)
Numeracy - Monday (online)
And catch-ups on Tuesday.
Grade 5
Writing - Wednesday (online)
Reading - Thursday (online)
Language Conventions - Thursday (online)
Numeracy - Monday (online)
And catch-ups on Wednesday.
Athletics
Looking back on the last two weeks, I would like to share our thanks for a wonderful Whole School House Athletics Day. Thank you to Miss Twentyman for organising, the whole staff for their support, and to the volunteers who helped. The biggest appreciation is to all of the students who worked so hard to win points for their houses.
The next assembly we will share who the atheletes in the individual events are that will move through to the district level in grade 34 , grade 5, and grade 6.
Grade 56 Grand Prix Excursion
Thank you to the parents who were selected to attend the Grand Prix, as well as those who missed out. Thank you to the teachers and ES who accompanied the students on the day. The students enjoyed the day, the cars, and the education and innovations stands.
Thanks,
Craig
