Family Time is back this Thursday, 12th February

Family Time this week is Outdoor Fun or Valentine Creativity for everyone! 🌞💌

We are so excited to welcome everyone back for our first Family Time of the year! It will be wonderful to see familiar faces again and meet so many new families in our school community. 🥰✨

Just a reminder that Family Time will now be held on Thursdays this year.

If the weather is beautiful, we’ll be outside under the blue sails enjoying bubbles, chalk drawing, and outdoor games. 🌞

If the weather is rainy, we’ll move into the Library for some Valentine’s Day crafts, including making cards and simple origami. 💕✂️✨

Join us this Thursday 12th Feb from 3:15pm to 4:15pm, we can’t wait to see you there! 🎉

For our new families, Family Time is a fun, relaxed way to meet other families and build connections within our community. Younger siblings are welcome to join in — just a reminder that all children must be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult at all times.

URGENT CALL FOR CANTEEN VOLUNTEERS ON FRIDAYS...

As you know our school canteen is a very popular service at Team Westbreen and as our school grows, so do the lunch & snack orders at the canteen. Some of our regular volunteers no longer have students at our school and are unable to continue their role in the canteen. 

This means Miss Bridget is in desperate need of more volunteers to help share the load of providing lunch and snacks for our community, especially on Friday’s, including this Friday 13th February. 

Our canteen is open on Monday, Wednesday & Friday. The main tasks are helping to making lunches, packing class lunch boxes and serving students at the window. There is also some handling of cash. All volunteers will be trained by Miss Bridget or one of our experienced volunteers. 

Volunteers will need to have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) card and complete a 5-minute Induction Session with me before starting in the canteen. I am also more than happy to help you obtain your WWCC card if you need help. Go to Working with Children Check to apply for your WWCC card.

Playgroup returning in Term 2

Our Westbreen Community Playgroup will be returning to Team Westbreen but not until TERM 2.  Look out for more information coming out about that in future newsletters.  Alternatively, you are welcome to contact me for more information via email kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au.
