Okay Shannon you really outdid yourself this time with Sophie reacting to Keefe’s letter and her sobbing over it for days! Her finding him again was really just amazing and who knew Sophie and Keefe OHHHHHH!!!!OMG!! Jasmin

UNLOCKED 8.5 by Shannon Messenger

How can this author get any better? Now she has pics of Sophie's files and i loved way more the little novella at the end. I would highly recommend!! Jasmin

MORTAL ENGINES by Phillip Reeve

This book was a bit hard to follow (I think that was mainly because I did not have the time to really indulge in a book like i normally do, so that may affect its rating:) So I rate it a 3.5 stars but I could not halve a star in the rating thingy. Jasmin

THE MUD PUDDLERS by Pamela Rushby

This book was awesome, the way Nina travel through time and meets a boy ( I forgot his name). It is amazing! Jasmin

KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES by Shannon Messenger

Okay, I re-read the book for the Vic Premiers' Challenge and this amazing book still hits just as hard and it is still amazing as it was when I first read it, so I give it a 5/5 stars! Jasmin

THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins

Okay this book is am-maze-ing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the Hunger Games and Katniss taking her sister’s place in the Hunger Games and Peeta too! My friend recommended this book to me and now we cannot stop yapping about the star crossed friends from district 12 (if you know you know). Jasmin

Brighton Primary School is very excited once again to be a Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge School.

Students now have access to their NEW individual username and passcodes to login.

Come see us during your Library session, we will give you your unique username and passcode login details.

Last year's login details will not work!!!

All students across Prep to Year Six have been registered and are welcome to join the Premiers’ Reading Challenge.

It's not too late to join!!!!!!!!!!

How to log in online:

Go to the Challenge application at: https://vprc.eduweb.vic.gov.au/home
Select the Student button.
Select the VPRC login option.
Enter your username and passcode
Select Login

A series of links to help you navigate the challenge site can be accessed on the Department of Education website (including adding books, such as home readers or eBooks) can be accessed at: https://www.vic.gov.au/premiers-reading-challenge

It is also recommended that books are entered progressively onto the system throughout the Challenge. The school Coordinator will verify books throughout the Challenge, which will be done on a weekly basis, but please keep in mind that the system updates overnight.

To be successful in the challenge you must complete the following requirements:

Prep, Gr 1 - 2 You are to read 30 books in total ( 20 or more from the Challenge list).
Gr 3 – 6 You are to read15 books in total (10 or more from the Challenge list).

Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students can read independently or ‘experience’ books for the Challenge. ‘Experience’ a book can include a shared reading, listening, reading along and being read to by teachers, aides, family members, or other students.
