Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome to Term 3 - it is going to be an action packed 9 week term. Please look at the important dates page and note key events such as:
- Book Week
- Years 4-6 Athletics carnival
- CHPS Trivia Night
- CHPS parenting seminar - Navigating Feeding Children & Positive Body Image
We are beginning to plan our year 4-6 production: Ngulu Nganjin. The performances will take place on Monday 27th and 28th October at the Clocktower Theatre in Moonee Ponds. Please note in you diaries that these will be daytime performances. We will be notifying families shortly of the day their child/ren will be performing.
Preparations for the Big Play Our Fair 2026 have commenced. Keep an eye on Compass and in the newlsetter for ways you can help out with our Fair. The Fair is the biggest fundraiser for our school. We are currently looking for a Carnival Games stall champion (chocolate toss, jaffa smash and dunny roll toss). Please email Alison or Nick at chps.fair.co@outlook.com if you can take on this role.
It is a great idea for you to talk to your child/ren about what to do if you are late to pick up or they are not sure of after school arrangements. If a child is unsure of arrangements they should go directly to the office or to the staff member on after school duty. Staff are in the yard until 345pm and will take any uncollected children to the office. Office staff will contact parents/TeamKids to clarify arrangements for your child. Please contact the office if you know you are running late so that we can let your child know and we can have them wait at the office.
Planning has commenced for our 2026 school year in regard to student numbers. If you know that your child/ren WILL NOT be attending Clifton Hill Primary School in 2026 (with the exception of current year 6), can you please email the school at clifton.hill.ps@education.vic.gov.au. Please advise where your child will be attending so that we can organise transfer of data in preparation for 2026.
Looking forward to seeing you at our events across the term.
Warm Regards
Megan
