From the Performing Arts Room

Congratulations To Our Choir
Our wonderful school choir outdid themselves at our Family Festival last Saturday! It has been an absolute delight to watch the students grow in confidence and develop their teamwork throughout the year, and seeing them perform their set was a real joy.
A huge thank you to all the parent helpers who have supported our choir program this year. We are still looking to fill a few gaps this term, so if you are available to help on any Tuesday afternoon from 2:55pm–3:30pm, we would greatly appreciate your support. Please sign up using this LINK if you are able. With our Grade 2 students joining the choir this term, we now have over 70 members and rely on parent helpers to help rehearsals run smoothly. No singing experience required! Just a love of music and a willingness to be an extra pair of hands in the room to support students when needed.
We look forward to one final choir performance for the year at our end-of-year Carols On The Green concert. We can’t wait to share it with you!
Carols On The Green
A Compass event will be sent out soon with full event details, however in the meantime here are some initial details to assist you:
Songs:
All children will participate in two songs: their own year-level number, and the whole school finale. Songs to practise at home can be found HERE.
What To Wear:
As children attend the carols event in clothes from home, below are costume themes and ideas to allow plenty of time to get things sorted. It is the overall effect of the whole year-level that has an impact, so please know that there is no pressure to go all out on costumes or requirement to wear every item on the list of suggestions. Keep in mind that children should not have anything in their hands, and that they need to be able to sit on the ground in their costume for a long period of time. We cannot have children leaving to change clothes as they also have an important role as respectful audience members for the other acts.
