What an Incredible Two Nights – Our 50th Anniversary Concerts!
WOW! What an amazing two nights of entertainment!
Our 50th Anniversary Concerts, Toys and Imaginarium, were absolutely spectacular! We could not be prouder of our students, who took to the stage with such confidence, enthusiasm and joy. Both performances were a wonderful celebration of the talent, creativity and spirit of Resurrection School.
These concerts were the result of months of planning, rehearsals, preparation and hard work. A huge thank you to our incredible staff, who went above and beyond to bring these productions to life. From costumes and props to rehearsals, choreography, backstage organisation and everything in between, it was a true team effort.
A very special thank you to our talented Concert Director, Drew Lane, whose creativity, vision and dedication brought both productions to life. Drew's hard work and commitment throughout the entire process were instrumental in making both shows such an incredible success.
We would also like to acknowledge our wonderful side-of-stage coordinator, Louise Buckley, who was brilliantly supported by Asha Hinton and Carla Renaud. Their organisation and coordination behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly and our students were ready for their moments in the spotlight.
A huge thank you to our fabulous lighting team, Melanie Dobra, Sarah Edwards and Sophie Papaefraim, whose creativity and hard work helped bring the magic of both productions to the stage.
A very special thank you also goes to the Lehmer Family and the Ariyarathna Family for generously giving their time to assist with transporting our props and equipment. Their support during the very early hours of Wednesday morning and the very late hours of Thursday night was greatly appreciated!
To our wonderful families, thank you for your support, encouragement and cooperation throughout the entire concert process. From helping with costumes and getting children to rehearsals, to following our drop-off and collection procedures and cheering so enthusiastically from the audience, you all played an important part in making these events such a success.
We are excited to share a few photos from both performances to give you a glimpse of the magic that happened backstage and during rehearsals!
The professional video recordings of both concerts will be available in a few weeks for $10 each. We will share information shortly about how families can get their hands on a copy so you can relive these wonderful performances.
What a fabulous way to honour and celebrate 50 years of Resurrection School! These two incredible nights showcased everything that makes our school community so special: teamwork, creativity, dedication and a wonderful sense of community.
