A prayer for 'Excellence'

Loving God,

Thank You for giving us special gifts and talents.

Help us to work hard every single day to make them grow.

Help us to try our best and never give up.

Keep us with a focus on becoming better today than we were yesterday.

Please help us to use our talents to care for others and make our school a happy place for all.

Thank you for helping us to use our hands and our heart to be kind.

Amen.

Term 4 Gospel Value: Excellence

‘We strive to develop the potential of each individual in learning, teaching and all we do’.

Each term, we focus on a Gospel value that we would like to bring into our learning and teaching as a school community.

Students receive explicit lessons on what Excellence means and looks like in our school.

• Stewardship: God gave you unique gifts and we can work hard every day to make them grow.
• Resilience: ‘Mistakes are our mates’—they are step-by-step ways your brain learns and grows.
• Effort: True success comes from trying your best and never giving up.
• Humility: Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday.
• Service: Use your growing talents to help others and make your school community better.
