Compressed Curriculum Discussion

Thank you to the parents and members of our community for coming along to be a part of the discussion about the compressed curriculum at this week's P&C meeting. At our school, students complete the HSC where they study three subjects each year for 2 years instead of 6 subjects over the 2 year period. The discussion is part of our approach to take feedback from families about their feelings of this approach.  We are also seeking feedback from students and staff to make informed decisions about how we deliver our HSC curriculum in the future.

Uniforms

Our school has school uniforms available for students to purchase. These can be purchased at any time.  As the cold weather starts to set in, we often see lots of different jumpers being worn.  Can I please ask parents to ensure their children are wearing our school uniform each and every day. We are more than happy to help families with school uniforms if you need some financial assistance to ensure we all look great at school every day.  Thanks for your support.

Assembly Next Week

Our next assembly will be held on Tuesday 24 June at 11.30am. As always, we welcome all members of our school community to come along and join us in the hall.  This is the last assembly for this term.

Term 3 Starting Dates

There will be a school development day for school staff on Monday 21 July.  Students will commence school on Tuesday 22 July.

Kindergarten 2026 - Information Session

Our planning for our transition program for students commencing Kindergarten next year is well underway.  We will commence our program on Wednesday 30 July.  Students will be welcome to attend the program from 9.30am -11.30am each Wednesday in Term 3 and from 9.30am -12.30pm in Term 4.

On the first day of our program (Wednesday 30 July), we will be holding a parent information session in our library. We invite parents of our new kindergarten students to come along as we will outline our school's plans for 2026 and have opportunities for parents to ask us questions.

Flexi Schools Canteen App

Thanks to our P&C's support, we will be re-introducing the Flexi Schools app for parents and families to use to order lunches from our school canteen. The app will allow families to view the current menu and to order lunches on their devices so that children do not need to organise this themselves when they get to school. We anticipate that the app will be live and ready to go from the start of next term. We will provide further information once it is ready.  Thank you to our P&C for their support in funding this for our students.

Jury Duty

I have been called for jury duty commencing today.  I am unsure of how long I will be away from school. I apologise for my absence during this time.
