Principal's Message

Dear Families,
The storm damage repairs have been taking longer than expected. The hall repairs are now expected to be finished by early July. Unfortunately this means assemblies will have to still be a week by week decision as we can't fit the whole school into the performing arts room. There will be no assembly tomorrow.
We pray for our students who are celebrating their First Eucharist on Sunday. As they receive their First Holy Communion, may they feel the love of God surrounding them, guiding them, and filling them with peace.
The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
The Spirit of truth will lead you to the complete truth.
John 16: 12-15
This coming Sunday, the first Sunday after Pentecost, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. We are invited to consider what we believe about God, who has revealed himself to us in the Trinity, one God in three Persons. Many of our Church prayers express our belief in a triune God (three persons in one). One of the greatest and simplest of these prayers is the sign of the cross, in which we dedicate ourselves ‘in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit’.
We invite you to start each day with the Sign of the Cross this week. Reflect on the meaning of this action and live each day in God’s name.
Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit:
to God who is, who was, and who is to come.
cf. Revelation 1:8
Outstanding School Fees
We are currently in the process of reviewing all outstanding school fees for 2025 so we can plan for the rest of the school year. We rely on the school fees to help cover the costs of running the school so the earlier in the year we can receive payment or part payment, the better it is for us to effectively run the school. If you have not made any payments yet, or would like to set up a direct debit payment schedule please contact the office and we can help you with this.
If you are experiencing financial difficulty and would like to have a confidential conversation about school fees, please call the school office on 9569 8966 or email me on principal@cohroakeast.catholic.edu.au to arrange a meeting.
nForma App
In order to enhance communication between school and home we have been investigating a new app that parents can use. Eventually the goal is to transition most of our online communication and forms to the one app.
We are starting by trialling the app for attendance, the parent calendar and student reports. We need all families to sign up to the new app so we can begin testing the system.
Please see the nForma App section of this newsletter for information on how to download and sign up for the app.
Trivia Night
A huge thank you to the Parent Association for organising another successful Trivia Night. A special mention has to go to Andrew Proy for being our Quiz Master extraordinaire.
Congratulations
Congratulations to the Tulloch family on the safe arrival of Hudson on the 4th June.

After School Supervision
A reminder that supervision ends at 3:35pm and all students should be picked up by this time or booked in for after school care. The staff often have staff meetings or other commitments we have to get to and it is very difficult if children haven't been picked up on time. We strongly recommend that every child is enrolled in after school care, so in the event of an unexpected change to circumstances your child can be booked in for after school care.
CSEF Applications
A reminder that CSEF Applications close on Friday 4th July 2025. If you are eligible for CSEF and are yet to complete a form, please contact the office.
Reminders
- Our next school closure day is on Monday 23rd June. Staff will be having a day of training with MACS staff where we unpack how we can support the social/emotional needs of our students.
- Year 4 camp is next week! We are looking forward to a fun filled 3 days.
We have now updated our website so you can enrol siblings at COHR online:
