Term 3 Week 4

An Update from our FIRE Carriers

This week, classes have learnt about Children’s Day. Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is celebrated on 4th of August each year. This year’s theme is “Living Our Truth”. This relates to being able to share stories of the past that have been not mentioned in the history books. At St Mary’s we strive to include indigenous perspectives in various topics during the school year. We encourage our students to learn more about their culture and traditions.

New - Year 1 & 2 Group Work

This term, Tahlia will be taking small groups from Year 1 and 2 to decorate a leaf that will be combined together in a framed piece of artwork. We look forward to sharing this experience at Assembly in the coming weeks.
