School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

June SWPBS Focus: Lock In Extended

Dear Families and Students,

Lock in Initiative Extended Until the End of Term – Lock in June

Due to the positive impact of our Lock in May initiative, we are excited to announce that the focus will continue for the remainder of Term 2, concluding on Friday 26 June, the final day of school for the term.

Since launching in May, students have demonstrated excellent locker etiquette, helping to create safer, calmer and more organised shared spaces across the school. Staff have been pleased to acknowledge many students who are consistently demonstrating these positive behaviours.

What Is Locker Etiquette?

Throughout the initiative, students are encouraged to:

  • Go straight to and from their lockers when preparing for class
  • Move efficiently through locker areas
  • Keep walkways clear
  • Respect personal space and wait their turn
  • Use appropriate language and maintain low noise levels
  • Keep locker areas clean and lockers organised

These behaviours support a positive school environment and help students arrive to class on time, organised and ready to learn.

Recognising Positive Behaviour

Students who demonstrate positive locker etiquette may receive a special orange "You've Been Spotted" card as recognition for their efforts. This is in addition to our regular acknowledgement system, which continues to celebrate students who demonstrate our school values and expected behaviours throughout the day.

We are proud of the way our students have embraced this initiative and look forward to continuing to build positive habits and responsible behaviours for the remainder of the term.

New Student Planner Posters

Students will notice there are new posters in every classroom across the College with lots of tips and reminders about how to use their planner effectively.

It's a great way for students to stay organised, stay focused and keep track of important deadlines!
