From the Principal

Officially, welcome back to all our students, families and community. It was wonderful greeting all the smiling faces as they returned last week.

Congratulations to our newly appointed School Captains, Maeve and Tyler, and Vice Captains, Elsie and Riley. These students were presented at our end of year assembly, last year. They did an amazing job sharing with Mr Shuttleworth and myself their vision in this role and we look forward to working with them in 2026.

We currently have some works happening in the yard, which the students are handling pretty well. The room of our basketball court is almost finished and will be unfenced by the end of the week, the Ninja Warrior Course will commence in the next week or 2, as will the sandpit upgrade. Mr Shuttleworth has done an amazing job sourcing different grants to ensure this work can be done for our students.

Our Years 3 to 6 House Swimming Sports is coming up on Wednesday 11th February. These will be held a the Beaufort Pool. Permission forms and information will be coming out on XUNO this week. Please keep your eye of out this. We will be looking for some parent helps on the day, as well as some enthusiastic parents to take part in the final event, the student vs parents vs teachers relay.

A broad brimmer / bucket hat is now required for all students. Our students must wear hats in Term 1 and 4. The school also has sunscreen in every classroom and students are encouraged to put this on before heading outside. If your child requires their own sunscreen, they can bring this in their bag and apply it before going out.
