Playground Update
I am very pleased to let the school community know that the expected completion date for the new playground is around the 6th of March. The delay was due to the late arrival of the playground equipment which has now been delivered. With everything on site, the building team has recommenced work this week.
We look forward to seeing the finished space and sharing it with our students very soon.
Pupil Free Days 2026
Last night the School Council approved the following days as Pupil Free Days for 2026:
- Term 2: Monday 11th May
- Term 3: Friday 21st August
- Term 4: Friday 20th November
Staff Car Park Safety
For the safety of all members of our community, we kindly ask that parents and carers do not walk their children through the staff carpark on Clifton Springs Road before or after school.
These periods are particularly busy, with a number of staff members departing at these times. With vehicles moving through these areas, this creates unnecessary risk for pedestrians, especially children.
We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe environment for everyone.
NAPLAN
Later this term, Year 3 & 5 students will participate in the NAPLAN testing. A parent information pack is available here.
If your family are considering withdrawing your child from the testing, please notify the me ASAP as there is some paperwork to be completed and signed with me. As always, it is your choice as a family.
Notice of Election and Call for Nominations
An election is to be conducted for members of the school council of Drysdale Primary School
Nomination forms may be obtained from the school and must be lodged by 4:00pm on:
Monday, 23rd February 2026
The ballot will close at 4.00 pm on:
Monday, 9th March 2026
Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school.
The terms of office, membership categories and number of positions in each membership category open for election are as follows:
