LEO Face-to-Face Enrichment Day

On Tuesday 11 August, primary students participating in Learning Extension Online (LEO) attended a Face-to-Face Enrichment Day at St Virgil’s College. 

Throughout the day, students rotated through three engaging workshops designed to extend their thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.

Ethics on Trial: Who’s Responsible? challenged students to investigate real-world animal welfare cases and consider the ethical, social and philosophical questions surrounding them.

Maths from Around the World introduced students to mathematical puzzles, games, strategies and numbering systems from different cultures.

In the Team Challenges workshop, students worked together to solve a range of complex problems requiring creativity, communication, leadership and collaboration.

Two of the workshops were facilitated by presenters from the Lyceum Centre in Sydney, adding another exciting dimension to the day.

The LEO Face-to-Face Day was a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build connections with like-minded peers and enjoy learning in an environment where curiosity, creativity and complex thinking were encouraged.
