On Saturday, 25th April, we commemorated ANZAC Day by joining in the local community march down the main street of Orange.
Thank you to all of the teachers and students who marched behind the McAuley banner. It was also great to see so many McAuley students marching with other community groups in our town.
Thank you to our School Captains for laying our stunning wreath at the cenotaph on our behalf.

Staff and students were sad to hear that Ms Leonard will be completing her time at McAuley at the end of this week.
Ms Leonard has been a wonderful support for our First Nation's students as well as assisting our teachers and community in this important area of education.
We thank Ms Leonard for the energy and love she brought to McAuley and thank her for being such a wonderful role model for our students.
We are currently advertising for an 'Aboriginal Education Officer' and will announce the sucessful candidate to the community as soon as we know.
If you know of anyone who would be interested please encourage them to apply.
We wish Ms Leonard well for her future endeavours and thank her for all that she has gifted McAuley!
Throughout Term 2 there will be many new faces at McAuley as we welcome many pre-service teachers completing their practicums at McAuley. Hosting practicum teachers is an important role and I thank the teachers who have volunteered to share their knowledge with our future collegues.
This week we welcome Sarah Woods who is completing her final 6 week placement in 4Y with Mrs Croke and myself and also Emma McCloy who will be completing a 3 week placement in 3Y with Mrs Forbes.

14 students and 12 teachers are due to hit the stage in 4 weeks.

We thank Miss Claire from Colour City Dance for her patience with us. She assures us we are 'getting better' and compliments us by saying we are 'looking less chaotic' so that is surely a good sign!
We also thank our families who have a child at this wonderful dance studio. The additional rehearsals that you fit in to your parent taxi schedule is greatly appreciated. It has been a truly wonderful experience for us as teachers to see the talent of these kids, and the students are loving the opportunity of being the 'teachers' and bossing us around!
Thank you to those who have donated to this wonderful cause, we are so proud to be a part of it.

For those that would like to come and cheer us on (or taunt us) on the night you can book a ticket here.
