Writing

Every Monday, our Prep students write a recount about their weekend, helping them develop their writing and sequencing skills. They are learning to include the important details of a recount by explaining who was involved, what they did, when it happened, where it took place, and the specific day their activity occurred. As their confidence grows, students are becoming more detailed writers and are learning how to organise their ideas clearly so their readers can easily follow their weekend adventures.

Humanities 

The Prep students have been learning all about Norway, exploring its important landmarks, traditions, and special events. They discovered interesting facts about the country's culture, history, and natural beauty while comparing it to life in Australia. As part of their learning, the students were introduced to the famous Norwegian trolls from traditional folklore. They had lots of fun using their creativity to decorate their own troll, bringing these magical characters to life through art. It has been a wonderful way to combine learning about another country with imagination and creativity.
