Southern Region Athletics at Cowra

On Friday 1st August, approximately 80 students proudly represented our school at the Southern Region Athletics Carnival in Cowra. It was a fantastic day of athletics, with students competing across a wide range of track and field events.

Our students are to be congratulated on the wonderful teamwork, sportsmanship and school spirit they displayed throughout the day. They supported and encouraged one another, competed to the best of their ability and demonstrated outstanding behaviour. With perfect weather and such a positive attitude from all involved, it was a wonderful day for Catherine McAuley.

A big thank you to the teachers who attended and supported our students throughout the carnival.

Congratulations to all students on their efforts, and a special mention to Polly Bailey and Harry Vial who were the age champions. Another significant achievement was Poppy Davidson who broke the senior girls 1500m record. Congratulations to those who achieved qualifying results and will now progress to the Diocesan Athletics Carnival in Dubbo on Friday 21st August.  We wish them the very best of luck as they represent Catherine McAuley at the next level!
