F-5 Swimming
F-5 students have enjoyed a week of swimming lessons at the Aquadome in weeks 4 and 5. Students in the 13 block have been working on swimming journals to recount their week. Thank you to Miss Tegan's Foundation class for proudly sharing pages from their journals with us.
SAPSASA Cross Country
In week 2, 71 students competed at the SAPSASA Cross Country Carnival. All the morning training sessions paid off with our students running exceptionally well, bringing home 1st place in division B. Thank you to our teachers; Mrs Robinson, Brayden, Mrs Michael and Ms O’Brien and our parent volunteers Kimberly Absalom, Jasmine Cuthertson-Beer, Rebekah Harris, Alex Peel, Patrick and Kelly Johnson, Renee Mobbs and Kristina Perttunen for your support.
Me and my friends competed in the SAPSASA Cross Country Carnival at Carrisbrook Park in Salisbury on Friday the 10th of May. I participated in the same run with Makayla but Olivia, Mirla and Noah also ran and did amazing.
I ran 2 laps of the trail which makes three kilometers. I felt really nervous at the start of the run but at the end I just pretty much walked it and I just wanted it to be over by then. Something I learned was that I just needed to keep going even if it was burning.
I placed 7th out of approximately 30 people in team A. I would like to thank Mrs Robinson for setting up this event and coming down to the oval to help me and my friends train. I would also like to thank Makayla and Mirla for motivating me to train and Olivia for telling me to try out for cross country.
