Exploring Seeds and Plant Growth

We’ve been learning about plants and discovering how many of them grow from seeds.

With oak trees surrounding both of our campuses, we’re lucky to have plenty of acorns to investigate — the perfect hands-on way to explore seeds.

We collected a number of acorns, peeled and halved them, and took a close look inside, recording our observations as we went.

Our next step is to see if we can get them to sprout and grow so we can watch the process unfold. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the students discover as their learning continues.
