P&F News

As we transition to the new uniforms, SMOTA P&F have begun to sort through the second-hand uniform shop to clear out the grey uniforms and green sports bottoms.  The generosity of our families over the years in donating their pre-loved uniforms has meant that our uniform shop was full to the brim.

After some research, we found that Tamworth South Public School students wear the grey bottoms, grey shirts AND green sport bottoms as their uniform. How lucky to find a school in the region with that combo!

Bags and bags full of our old uniforms were kindly taken down to Tamworth by Chris and Hans Hietbrink, and were gratefully received by the lovely school. Tamworth South Public School is situated in an underprivileged area of Tamworth and the school commented that many of the families would benefit significantly from these donations. Tamworth South Public School's new Principal is apparently very focused on welfare for the students and the school were overwhelmed by the generosity of our little school in making such a large donation. They said they couldn't believe their luck in us finding them and donating.

A massive thanks must go to Zoe and her children who helped on ANZAC Day to sort and bag the clothes in preparation for delivery to Tamworth.

As we continue to transition the uniforms, please still donate your greys and greens as we will do another final donation at the beginning of next year.

School Supervision

Please ensure that your child is not arriving to school prior to 8.30am or being collected from school after 3.20pm. Outside of these hours, school staff will not be available to supervise students.

Students who arrive after 8:50am will need to be signed in by Parents at the Front Office, if this doesn't occur parents will receive an unexplained notification for late attendance. Thank you for signing your child in if they are late, as this ensures our attendance records are accurate.

School Attendance

When your child is absent without explanation, you will receive an SMS and email from the school.  You can explain planned absences in advance by writing an email or phoning the school. Absences of more than 10 days require a form to be filled out to apply for "Extended Leave" which requires approval from the Principal.
