Principal’s Report

Dear students, parents and carers,

As the academic year comes to a close, it is with great pride and joy that I reflect on the exceptional achievements of our students. This year has been marked by dedication and a commitment to excellence across all year levels. Our students have excelled in academics, athletics, and continues to demonstrate our Merrylands ethos of being safe, respectful learners when participating in excursions and extracurricular activities.

The consistent efforts of our teaching staff and the support of families have played a vital role in shaping these successes. By organising events like Harmony Day, Swim School and Open Days for our incoming students, we have created a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential.

In academics, some of our top performing HSC students have achieved remarkable milestones. This includes 4 Distinguished Achievers having achieved the highest band in a HSC course in the Maths and Science faculties, one of whom is also a Top Achiever in Course for Investigating Science.

These collective accomplishments are a testament to the hard work and determination of our students, their parents, teachers and support staff. As we prepare for the 2025 academic year, let us celebrate these achievements and continue building on this strong foundation of excellence.
