Winter is fast approaching, with less than four weeks to go before our 2026 program begins supporting those in need in our local community. At present, we have only 22 volunteers, when we would usually have more than 60.
If you have been thinking about volunteering, now is the time to take action.
New volunteers: please register at https://wintershelter.org.au/volunteer
Returning volunteers: if you volunteered last year, please email boswalds1@gmail.com to confirm you will be back in 2026 and include any updated information regarding your availability or preferences. Alternatively, you can use the same webpage above.
If you would prefer a non-facing role, we also need someone to receive meal donations each Friday from 3:15–3:45pm in the hall. Please contact Silvio if you can assist. More information about meal donations will be shared in the coming weeks.
This program succeeds only if we have sufficient volunteers. It is well structured and safe, and many of our volunteers share that being involved broadens their understanding and warms their hearts.
If you have any questions, please contact Silvio on 0431 399 938 or svolomb1@gmail.com.
