Dear Community Members,

Term One has begun positively, and we are particularly pleased with the strong start made by our Year 7 cohort. The fine weather has allowed us to take full advantage of excursions and camps, and the College has settled into a steady and productive rhythm. Many of our recent changes and new approaches are beginning to show clear benefits.

Welcome to Fr Ben Brooks

We warmly welcome Fr Ben Brooks to our parish and to the College community. As the first locally born Tasmanian ordained in the Archdiocese in more than fifteen years, his 2019 ordination at St Mary’s Cathedral was a significant moment for both him and the broader community. Fr Ben brings extensive pastoral experience, long-term involvement in catechesis and formation, and a vocation shaped during his studies at Beda College in Rome. We are grateful to have him with us and look forward to the leadership, insight and pastoral presence he will bring to our shared mission.

Capital Works Update

We have recently purchased 47 Currajong Street. Our immediate approach with this property is still being considered, and we are taking time to determine the most prudent short-term use. It is a great outcome for the College as we now own the entire strip at the back of the oval. In future years, this will be really helpful as the College continues to grow and improve. Work on our upcoming Penola project continues. We are still hopeful to commence construction halfway through the year.

Happy Easter

Wishing all members of our College community a happy and peaceful Easter. Every blessing for the season. It has been a wonderful start to the year, and I look forward to building on this strong beginning in the term ahead.
