Book Week
Last week, our school came alive as we celebrated Book Week with a fun-filled week of exciting activities and special events. This years theme was Symphony of Stories.
We kicked off the week on Monday with the Book Week Parade, where students and staff proudly showcased their creative and wonderful costumes. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and imagination on display as our favourite book characters came to life!
On Tuesday, we welcomed illustrator Chris Kennett, who inspired our students with an engaging illustration workshop. Students had the opportunity to learn some of Chris's drawing techniques and create their own cool and creative illustrations.
We also held our Big Book Swap, which was a huge success! Our community generously donated more than 300 books, giving students the wonderful opportunity to swap, discover and take home a new story to enjoy.
We finished the week with a Book Week Assembly presented by our Year 4 students. They brought some much-loved storybooks to life by acting out scenes and plots from popular stories. Their creativity, confidence and enthusiasm were wonderful to see!
It was fantastic to see our whole school community come together to celebrate a love of reading, books and storytelling. A huge thank you to our students, staff and families for helping make Book Week such a memorable and magical celebration!
