I am excited to invite families to visit our School of the Good Shepherd Fashion & Design Exhibition, where students will proudly showcase the creative pieces they have designed and made throughout the term.

Parents and families will have the opportunity to view their child’s artwork after school or on your way to Parent–Teacher Conferences at the end of term.

I am incredibly proud of our creative designers and the wonderful creations they have produced. Students have used their imagination, creativity and design skills to bring their ideas to life.

As part of our exhibition, please head down to the Grade 1/2 shared space to see our special “We Lift Others UP!” display and take a photo to help promote kindness, inclusion and positive messages about standing up against bullying.

I can’t wait for you to see their fantastic work!

Drawing Takes Courage!

I am excited for students to begin our new Visual Arts unit, “Drawing Takes Courage!”

Throughout this unit, students will explore a wide range of drawing materials and techniques, including charcoal, watercolour pencils, pastels and more. They will take part in a series of workshops exploring important art elements and developing their drawing skills.

Students will be encouraged to be brave and experiment as they explore sketching, cartooning, drawing what they see, and expressing what they imagine, feel and remember.

Most importantly, students will learn that drawing does not have to be perfect. Drawing takes courage, creativity and a willingness to have a go!

Student Creators at the Fete 🎨✨

We’ve had some students asking about whether they can have a stall at the fete, and we think this would be a wonderful opportunity!

If your child is interested in selling their artwork, handmade creations or small business ideas, please contact the Parish Office and speak with Catherin for more information.

It would be amazing to see some of our talented student artists and budding business people sharing their creations at the fete on 14 November!  🎨🧵💡

We can’t wait to see the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of our students! 🌟
