Mathematics: In Mathematics, students are learning to recognise and use different units of time, including days, hours, minutes and seconds. They will estimate and compare how long events take, solve problems involving duration, and develop their understanding of am and pm. Students will also practise converting between different units of time and applying these skills to real-life situations. It would be wonderful if you could practice these skills at home on an analgoue clock.
Unit of Inquiry:
We have started our new unit of inquiry. The transdiciplary theme is sharing the planet and our central idea is Understanding different perspectives and building strong relationships creates peaceful communities and a healthy planet. We will be unpacking this with the students including the lines of inquiry.
Reminders:
Hats – As the UV steadily increases it is important that students bring their hat to school to wear on days when the UV is above 4.
