The Science of Great Teaching

At LPPS, our success is built on the science of teaching and learning, using research-based, high-impact strategies proven to lift student growth. Through the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0), our teachers plan with precision, use data to target learning needs, and ensure consistency across classrooms. We have a strong focus on explicit teaching, where lessons are clear, structured and purposeful. Daily Reviews help students consolidate key skills, while student whiteboards make learning interactive and allow for instant feedback and adjustment. Together, these approaches create classrooms where every child is known, supported and challenged to achieve their best.
