Cubs Club
This year, Donvale Primary School has been fortunate to collaborate with the Lions Club, and we now have our very own Cubs Club! The Cubs Club works together to brainstorm fundraising ideas that support communities in need. We partner with a member of the Box Hill Lions Club, Pat, who helps bring our ideas to life.
We are currently at capacity for members, and at this stage we will not be taking on any new members. Please look out for membership details for 2026.
CHRISTMAS CAKES AND PUDDINGS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE:
Support our local community with Lions Christmas Cakes & Puddings! Purchase some for yourself, your friends, your family or colleagues! A perfect little treat or Christmas gift.
Your child will be bringing home an order form this week if you’d like to purchase one of the delicious Christmas Cakes or Puddings. Our Cubs Club will be receiving a percentage of all profits.
Orders close on 30th November, so be sure to get in quick!

WHAT WE GOT UP TO THIS WEEK:
During our session this week, we had a great time playing a “Guess Who” game. Each of us were given a piece of paper and asked to write down one thing about ourselves that no one else would know. Then, we swapped papers and tried to guess who the mystery fact belonged to. It was so much fun learning surprising and interesting things about each other. We discovered that someone’s favourite food is chicken skin, someone loves reading romantic novels, another person’s favourite animal is a bird (but they actually tell everyone it's a cat), and someone enjoys watching Power Rangers!
For a little bit of homework, we were given a fun research task. We each drew a flag from a hat and were told to find three interesting facts about that country to share at our next session.
We had such an enjoyable week and can’t wait for our next meeting. Hopefully, we’ll get to play the “Guess Who” game again!
STAMPS AND BREAD TAGS:
We are still collecting stamps and bread tags (cardboard or plastic ones). If you have any to donate, there are two collection boxes located at the school office.
We truly appreciate your support, and we know the communities we’re helping will too.
