Last Friday at St MM's our students performed their end of year Amadeus Music Concert. Joining us were special guests, Parish Priest, Father Pat, Founding Sister of St MM's, Sister Faye and SCS Executive Director, Tony Farley. Thanks to our four wonderful Amadeus music tutors, Jade Tinkler, Nick Ciccarelli, Jacqui Carias and Beth Scott, our students were able to showcase their skill and talent. After the concert, we officially opened the "Sister Faye Prayer Garden" so that Sr Faye’s legacy of kindness and strength will continue to live on through the students of St Margaret Mary’s. I was looking at Sr Faye during the concert to see her reaction to our garden being named after her and it was absolutely priceless. She used the word “humbled” a lot for the remainder of the morning. Isabel H and Maxim from Year 4 then sat down with Sister Faye to interview her about how she started St MM’s. The aim - to forever capture the stories from the early days of our school.

I was so immensely proud of the children on Friday. Whether they were performing, reading or in the audience they were truly outstanding. They are a credit to each and every one of you. It is no coincidence that casual teachers, our volunteers and passer byes make comment about how welcoming, friendly and well behaved the children of St MM's are.

Thank you to all members of our community who were able to join us for the morning, it is another one for the memory book.
