Advent

Coffee and Connect

Many thanks to the parents who attended our first Advent coffee and connect session. It was lovely to pause  and indeed connect as we prepare our hearts for Christmas and all that end of the year holds. You are most welcome to join us, even if you have not been able to attend all of the sessions.

Playgroup

Playgroup wrapped up for the year with some joyful Christmas craft and play. We read about the birth of Jesus and followed the story with our Nativity Scene. 

Rosary

It has been a great delight to pray the Rosary with many joyful and reverent children this year. We will continue to pray a decade together each Friday at 8:30 during school terms.

Upcoming Events 

This Monday 8 December we celebrate the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. A beautiful candlelight procession and Rosary will be held at 7:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes at Earlwood. 

Christmas at the Cathedral

Christmas at the Cathedral returns from 17-25 December at St Mary’s Cathedral! The forecourt will again come alive with a stunning light projection that will bring the beloved Christmas song A Little Drummer boy to life. Market stalls and live performances will also be available from 530pm, with the light show beginning at 8:30.

Hope Illuminated

Mary Mackillop Place is offering a Christmas light display Hope Illuminated for the last two weekends of Advent, a meaningful way to prepare for Christmas with Australia’s first saint.

As we approach the end of the year I would like to thank you for the many ways you have enriched our school and parish community this year. I have been encouraged by your kindness and commitment to the faith journey of your children, and look forward to continuing to work with you.
