October brings our focus to Catholic Mission Month, where we live out our faith through action and compassion. Students will take part in fundraiser, supporting those most in need around the world.
Catholic Mission is the Pope's international mission agency that supports vital healthcare, education, and spiritual care initiatives for vulnerable communities around the world.
Through Catholic Mission’s initiative, our students are invited to learn about global issues and put their faith into action by supporting children in need, living out our faith through action and compassion.
The Focus: Supporting Children in Malawi This year, Socktober focuses on supporting communities in Malawi. In rural regions like the Diocese of Chikwawa, over 70% of the population lives in poverty, and 2 out of 3 families struggle to meet daily food needs. Consequently, only 19% of children aged 7 to 14 possess basic reading skills.
Our fundraising efforts will directly support an education project providing 800 local children with:
Access to quality, year-round schooling in safe learning spaces.
A daily meal of maize porridge to nourish their minds and bodies.
Clean drinking water through local community boreholes.

We are super excited to announce that we will be holding our event on Friday 4th December 2026 at St Mary’s in our School Paddock! The money raised from this event will go towards our Socktober Appeal for Catholic Missions and a Religious Education project in our school community.
What is the School Colour Fun Run?
It is an online fundraising program, where all families go home and create their own online profile. You then choose your target prizes and work towards hitting your target! In your profile you will have a unique cyber safe link to share with your family and friends to donate to get you close to your target.
What do we need you to do?
All we need you to do this week is create an online profile at myprofilepage.com.au. The class with the highest profile percentage coloured class group by Friday 30th October (next Friday) will all get an icy pole!
What is happening on the Colour Run Day (4th December 2026)?
Students are encouraged to come to school in a white shirt and colourful shorts to celebrate the day. This is an inclusive fundraiser that we would love our parents and friends to be part of! If you would like to come down and watch your kids run, we would love to see you there!

Our Catholic values are part of everyday life. The core Catholic principles and values that underpin our educational approach are: Primacy of God, Sanctity of Life, Fidelity in Relationships, and Common Good.

The Angelus is a traditional Catholic prayer that remembers the Annunciation, when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her she would become the mother of Jesus. The prayer reflects on Mary’s “yes” to God and reminds us of God becoming human in Jesus Christ.
We are beginning our journey to implement the Angelus Prayer across our school community. This term, staff are becoming familiar with resources and ways to share the prayer and its meaning with students.
This term, students will be introduced to the Angelus and learn about its importance within our Catholic tradition. By Term 4, we hope to have the whole school confidently praying the Angelus together as part of our shared faith life.
