Safe Streets to School: Randwick Council.

Hello St Anthony's school,
We are a group of local parents who have formed Safe Streets to School: Randwick Council. We encourage Council to make it safer for children to walk or ride to school, by building better and/or more pedestrian crossings and cycleways in our local community, and reducing speed limits. There are many advantages for this form of active transport: increased physical and mental fitness for our children; less cars on roads; less carbon emissions, to name a few.
One of our group member's children attend Clovelly Public School and is advocating Council to consider adding in a zebra crossing in three locations:
1. At Clovelly Road and Mundarrah Street;
2. At Boundary Road and Winchester Road (both where there are currently traffic islands); and
3. At Greville Street and Arden Street.
As number 3 is situated adjacent to St Anthony's, we would really appreciate the school and parent community's support for these safety measure by:
- writing a letter of support for these zebra crossings to Randwick North Councillor Aaron Magner (aaron.magner@randwick.nsw.gov.au), and
- signing the petition created by our member Laura: https://chng.it/dXg4JVgghP.
Kind regards
Diane Nazaroff (0424 479 199) and Laura Parker (Safe Streets to School: Randwick Council)
