Each selection is a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and teamwork demonstrated by these students, showcasing their ability to rise to the occasion and compete at the highest levels.

We celebrate their accomplishments and the potential they bring as ambassadors for both our college and the state of Tasmania.

Gymnastics

Congratulations to Year 9 student-athlete Harry Dewsbery, who will be representing Gymnastics Tasmania at the upcoming Australian Gymnastics Championships in Sydney.

Harry will compete in Synchronised Trampoline and Double Mini Trampoline events. For those who may not be familiar with these disciplines, here’s a brief overview:

Synchronised Trampoline is an exciting gymnastics event where two competitors perform identical routines on side-by-side trampolines in perfect unison. Gymnasts are evaluated based on their execution, the difficulty of their skills, and how well their timing and form match each other.

Double Mini Trampoline, often referred to as DMT, is another thrilling gymnastics discipline that combines a sprint down a runway with a jump onto a smaller, highly springy trampoline. Gymnasts perform two acrobatic flips before landing precisely on a mat.

Wishing you all the best, Harry! Your hard work and determination have truly paid off. Enjoy the experience of representing your state with pride.
