We would like to commend our Year 10 students on the positive manner in which they approached their Mid-Year Examinations.
Examinations can be a challenging and stressful time, requiring significant preparation, organisation and perseverance. We hope the experience has been both rewarding and valuable, allowing students to demonstrate their learning while building confidence for future assessment opportunities. Most importantly, we hope each student has walked away feeling proud of the effort they invested and the resilience they showed throughout the examination period.
Qustodio Online Parent Information Evening
Last week, families received an EdSmart communication regarding our upcoming Qustodio Online Parent Information Evening, to be held online at 6pm on Tuesday 7 July. We would like to remind parents and carers of this valuable opportunity to learn more about the platform and how it can support young people to develop safe and healthy digital habits from the comfort of their own home.
As part of the College's ongoing commitment to student wellbeing and online safety, Qustodio will provide families with greater visibility of their child's online activity and support productive conversations around responsible technology use. The platform complements the College's existing digital wellbeing initiatives and aims to strengthen the partnership between home and school in supporting students online.
During this online information session, families will receive an overview of Qustodio's features, learn how the platform will be implemented at the College.
We look forward to welcoming families online as we continue to work together to promote safe and positive technology use.
If you have not yet registered, we encourage you to do so using the same registration link provided in last week's EdSmart, provided below:

Year 10 RYDA Road Safety Program
On Thursday 2 July, all Year 10 students will participate in the RYDA Road Safety Education Program, delivered at St Virgil's College in partnership with the Rotary.
RYDA is an engaging and evidence-based road safety initiative designed to help young people become safer drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians. Through a series of interactive workshops and presentations, students will explore topics including risk awareness, distraction, speed, fatigue, decision-making and the responsibilities that come with using our roads.
Participation in the program provides a valuable opportunity for students who are preparing to obtain their learner licence. Importantly, attendance at the full day will contribute five hours towards students' learner driver log books.
Students will attend Periods 1 and 2 as normal, with the RYDA program commencing after recess and continuing for the remainder of the school day.
We look forward to providing our Year 10 students with this important learning experience which will contribute to our young men developing the knowledge and skills required to stay safe on our roads.
