What an adventure we’ve had flying to Neverland with our 2025 production of Peter Pan! I am so proud of our students and so grateful to everyone who made this show such a success.
To the cast – your energy, talent, and teamwork brought the story to life in the most magical way.
To the staff and crew – thank you for the hours of work behind the scenes, creating the sets, costumes, and smooth stage changes that made everything possible. A special thanks goes to Miss Nonie Kay, our wonderful Director, for guiding our students every step of the way.
And of course, thank you to our parents, families, and friends. Your support, encouragement, and cheers gave our students the confidence to shine brightly on stage.
Peter Pan was more than just a production, it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and community spirit. Thank you for helping us make it a truly unforgettable experience. I've included the link to purchase recordings at the bottom of this page in case you haven't ordered your own copy yet.
Our Swimming program starts next week. By now, you should have all the information you need through Operoo and/or your class teachers. Please see the Deputy Principal page of this newsletter for some tips on how to support your child to have a successful school swimming experience. Due to the fact that the Danny Frawley pool deck is smaller than our previous pool, and doesn't have a designated viewing area, we won't be able to accommodate parents this year.
Please see the P & F page of this newsletter for full details of the following upcoming events:
Our annual Dad's Footy Match is on August 30th and this is always a great community day. Mark it on the calendar and pop down if you're free, even for an hour.
The Father's/Special Friend's Stall is on Thursday September 4th - students will have the opportunity to purchase a gift for their dad or anyone else that they wish to purchase for. Once again, students will be able to visit the stall in sibling groups to avoid double-ups.
Our Father's/Special Friends breakfast will be held on Friday September 5th...don't forget to preorder breakfast.
Thank you to Paul Zarogiannis, (a Prep and Year 2 dad), who recently came in to take some photos of our school in action. Paul captured many different aspects of life at St Finbar's, and we'll be able to use these photos on our website and in our newsletters. Here's a preview of some of Paul's photos.
I’ve shared the link to our 2025 Parent Handbook here. It’s always a good one to revisit now and then, just to refresh our memories about the important details of life at St Finbar’s.
We are currently seeking confirmation from families in regards to the 2026 enrolment status for their children. If you haven't already, please complete the Operoo request by tomorrow August 22nd. We have families on our waiting lists for 2026 and we would like to let them know of availability of places as soon as we can.
