I am absolutely delighted to announce that Brooke Faux, our current Class 6 teacher, will be beginning a new Class Teacher journey with the 2027 Class 1 cohort.
In our school, Class 6 marks the completion of the Class Teacher cycle as students begin their transition into the Middle School model. While, on occasion, a teacher may continue with a class into Class 7, this is considered and assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Brooke has done a wonderful job guiding the current Class 6s over the past six years. The class has grown into a settled, responsible, kind and reliable group of young people, and much of this is due to the rhythms, boundaries, care and experiences Brooke has provided throughout their primary years.
Following thoughtful discussion with Brooke, we believe the class is ready for new horizons, new relationships and new ways of working as they make the important developmental step into early adolescence. Brooke also feels that her greatest strengths and passions lie within the primary years, and she is excited to return to Class 1 in 2027 to begin a new Class Teacher journey.
At this stage, staffing arrangements for Middle School in 2027 are still being finalised. We will announce the Class Guardians and any other relevant staffing decisions as soon as they have been determined.
Congratulations Brooke!
