Mr. Carlyle's Message
Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter.
Here we are at the end of another amazing year with so much to celebrate.
Many Thanks
I am going to take the time now to thank a few notable contributions for this year. A huge thank you to our PFG led by Anna Shelton. Your dedicated work this year orgnaising fundraising and events has seen $15,000 raised for the school. This has been used to subsidise several whole school incursions, as well as covering bus expenses for excursions and camps.
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank our wonderful office staff here at Ballan. Mrs. Gantner and Mrs. Allan are often the face of the school and the first contact for many families. Their tireless work in communicating and coordinating hundreds of school operational items throughout the year ensures Ballan Primary runs like clockwork.
Finally to our fantastic staff, our leaders, teachers, support staff and groundsman. Your dedication to our students and families has continued to make Ballan PS a fantastic place to work, and a great community to be a part of.
Ringing of the Bell
This Friday our departing Grade 6 students will finish their schooling journey with us. All Grade 6 students will be offered the opportunity to ring the newly refurbished, historical school bell. The ringing of the bell will mark the completion of their schooling journey and the celebration of their next chapter. Parents and families of current Grade 6 students are invited to attend this event at 1:10 this Friday in the school courtyard.
Departing staff
Mr. Moneghetti, Mrs. Hunter, and Ms. Carlon.
An enormous thankyou to our outgoing staff for 2024, your contributions to the school have been valuable and appreciated. Your energy and personalities will be missed and we wish you all the very best on the next chapters of your professional and personal journeys.
Celebrating 150 years
What a fantastic celebration of community, history, and school belonging. It was an absolute privilege to have been a part of it. I would like to thank everyone who attended for your enthusiasm, friendship and community spirit. These events are a great showcase of the school, the students and the families that support our community. Well done everyone!
School Uniform
A friendly reminder that as of 2025 the school uniform policy will revert to a single uniform. Over 2024 we have transitioned away from our old uniform allowing both to be worn at school. In 2025 the new school uniform will be the one option.
Friday - Early Finish
Just a reminder that this Friday the 20th of December is an early finish at 1:30 pm.
Happy holidays everyone!!!!
Have a safe and happy new year. Prioritise the things that bring you joy and I hope you have the opportunity to build some special memories this summer.
Kindly
Mr. Carlyle.
