Around The Rooms
Senior Team
Wow, we cannot believe another year has flown by! What an amazing year of learning, challenges, growth, and fun things along the way. Some highlights for the year have been all the wonderful excursions, incursions, and special days at school the 5/6 students have experienced. In particular, the excursion to the MCG and Werribee Zoo, Campaspe Downs Camp, The Olympic Travel Expo, Book Week dress up and many more. A huge thanks as always to our fantastic families for the ongoing support.
Western Bulldogs Football Clinic
The senior team were grateful to enjoy a visit from the Western Bulldogs this week. Our students enjoyed the chance to have a kick of the footy and ask questions of Bulldogs AFL players Sam Darcy, Luke Kennedy and Riley Garcia.
Graduation
Thursday night saw our incredible cohort of Grade 6 students celebrate their graduation from Primary School. It was an incredible night to enjoy for students, staff and families and we are excited to see how they do at secondary school next year. It was also lovely to see Mia Bell receive the Mikaela Settle Community Award for her consistent and exemplary embodiment of our school values. Thank you to everyone who assisted with organising and supporting the smooth running of the evening.
Thank you
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the incredible Tay Muir for her wonderful contributions to the senior team over the past two years. As she makes the move to the middle years team, and we welcome back Paul Heeps to the 5/6 classes, it is important to acknowledge the amazing work Tay has done. Thanks Tay!
Enjoy the holiday break!

Middle Years
What a finale to a fabulous year! This week, we have our disco coming up on Thursday, our Kris Kringle happening on Monday and end-of-year reports going live on Wednesday! Last week we were lucky enough to be visited by three Bulldogs players! We took some photos together, had merchandise signed, had a handball competition, and played kick to kick. Thanks, Bulldogs!
Here we are at the end of the year and looking forward to some much-needed rest over the holidays & lovely family time with Christmas celebrations. 🎄🎅
We are looking back over the year and remembering all the good times. The photos above recap many of the fabulous events, activities, programs & celebrations we have enjoyed this year. We have all had an amazing year in the 2024 3/4 Team and have so many happy memories. Next year, we are excited to welcome Ms. Muir to the 2/3/4 Team. We also reluctantly farewell Mr. Heeps back to the 5/6 Team but are happy that he will still be close by. 😁
We want to take this opportunity to wish our families a safe and relaxing holiday, filled with good cheer and precious family time. Thank you for supporting our amazing students to succeed through their hard work and conscientious habits. We look forward to seeing everyone next year and hearing about their holiday highlights. This term has also covered a lot of assessments. Thanks to families for maintaining wonderful attendance during this busy time.
Thank you everyone for helping to make it another wonderful term. We hope you have a brilliant break. Can't wait to see you next year!

Junior Years
It's been a busy couple of weeks in the P-2 team.
P-2 Late Stay
On Thursday 5th December, we had our Late Stay. The students ended the school day playing a range of games that were run by our Grade 5 students. It was lovely watching the senior students take on the responsibility of running activities and our junior students had a blast. They enjoyed some refreshing icy poles and orange slices before heading out for a dance party and play on the playground. The day was quite warm, so the hose was busted out and students were treated to a refreshing cool down. It was then time to say goodbye to the Preps while the 1/2s headed inside to make paper aeroplanes.
Mrs Mauriks was the BBQ master the 1/2s were raving about how delicious the sausages were...cooked to perfection and not burnt!
The Grade 1s then headed off and the Grade 2s settled in for a movie. And we all know, you can't have a movie without popcorn! After the movie, we took the Grade 2s on a walk through the school...it really is a strange place to be when there aren't classrooms filled with students.
The night came to an end and everyone headed home happy! A very successful late stay indeed.
Step Up Day
On Tuesday, December 10th, we had our school Step Up Day. This is where all students spent time in their 2025 classes with their 2025 teachers. This was such a wonderful day and all students did really well with this big change. We are so looking forward to next year.
1/2s visit to Ballan Train Station
On Wednesday, December 11th, the 1/2s walked to the Ballan Train station to see artwork that they had created on display. It was the perfect day for a stroll through town and the kids loved seeing their work outside of school.
